In loving memory of our beautiful daughter Millie Grace Hestbech French. Millie Grace was born 10 weeks premature on the 1st of March 2012, weighing only 1lb 11oz. She had chronic lung disease, which meant she was oxygen dependant and fed via a nasogastric tube.
After 3 long months on the neonatal intensive care ward, Millie was allowed to come home; still on oxygen and fed via a nasogatstric tube. During her time at home, she was admitted back into hospital several times with bronchiolitis, but managed to pull through each time despite being so poorly.
It was then on December 20th 2012 that Millie started to become unwell again. This time however, we discovered that Millie actually had a rare form of liver cancer (hepatoblastoma). Millie’s health took a dramatic turn for the worse on Christmas Day, causing one of her lungs to collapse.
On Boxing day 2012, we were told that there wasn’t anything more that the doctors could do to save our beautiful daughter. So we had to say goodbye to her one last time.
We love and miss you so much Millie, words can not describe the pain that we went through when we lost you.
Little Snowdrop Poem
The world may never notice If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom, or even pause to wonder if the petals fall too soon. But every life that ever forms, or ever comes to be, touches the world in some small way for all eternity. The little one we longed for was swiftly here and gone. But the love that was then planted is a light that still shines on. And though our arms are empty, Our hearts know what to do. For every beating of our hearts says that we love you.
Instead of sending Christmas cads we are donating to this worthwhile charity in memory of Millie❤️. Thinking of you all at this time xx lots of love kirsty, andy, Megan and Ellie xx
